In an effort to develop and maintain high standards of financial crimes resilience, across the group and Asia region, my client has recently created the position of Director of Market Conduct to manage the multiple high quality investigations within their large Hong Kong entity.

Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for reviewing information and evidence collected to evaluate essential case elements, whilst ensuring the quality and comprehensiveness of the investigations. You will provide reports with recommendations and possible resolutions related to known or suspected activities, based on the Group Head Office’s policies and frameworks. You will work closely with various senior stakeholders to conduct complex and sensitive investigations involving money laundering and fraud cases that may arise, as well as monitor and oversee investigation processes in the business.

You will be ideally a degree holder and Certified Fraud Examiner, with a minimum of fifteen years (15) experience in investigations, enforcement  or financial crime investigation, from a well-known financial institution in Asia  or from the IA, HKMA or SFC. You will be familiar with criminal law and judicial proceedings and be a skilled and sensitive communicator to handle sensitive and highly confidential information.  

English and Cantonese fluency are paramount for this role.
